Dear Memorial School Parents/Guardians,

We’re excited to welcome the students back to school for the 2021-2022 school year! The Meet Your Teacher event is scheduled for Tuesday, August 31, 2021. Meet Your Teacher is a great way to see the classroom and meet the classroom teacher prior to the start of the school year.

We anticipate a large number of students and their families visiting the school for this event.  As a result, we have put into place a process to manage the group size and maximize physical distance to keep our visitors and staff safe. Please see the process below.

• Third, Fourth, and Fifth Grade visits begin at 2:00 pm.

• Each student and their family will receive an assigned time to visit their classroom and meet their teacher. We will provide the assigned times in a separate email tomorrow, August 24, 2021.

• Plan to arrive 15-minutes prior to your scheduled visit.

• There will be a registration table for each grade located at the front of the school. When you arrive at the school, check-in at the registration area. We will also verify your child’s dismissal plans for the first few days of school at the registration area. Once you have checked-in, proceed to your child’s classroom. There will be staff members available to assist you with finding your way.

• The time allotment for each visit is 20 minutes per student.

• During your visit, please remember to maintain at least 3-feet of physical distance from others.

• If you have a scheduling conflict due to another child in another class or attending Underhill School, please contact me.

• If you are unable to attend, we encourage you to reach out to the classroom teacher with your questions.

• • If you or your child has COVID-19 symptoms, please stay home and contact your doctor.

  • Face masks are optional. If you need a mask during your visit, we can provide you with a disposable mask at the registration area.

  • Please maintain at least 3-feet of physical distance from others.

  • Parents/guardians are invited to attend and siblings may attend as well, however, please be mindful of group size.

Also, you should have received an email from Pick Up Patrol today prompting you to set up your account. The link in the Pick Up Patrol email expires in 24 hours. If you did not receive an email or need assistance with the setup process, please contact the school tomorrow between 8:30am and 3:30pm and we will be able to assist you.
