In late March and early April, students at HMS will be taking the Smarter Balanced testing. Click HERE for a series of practice tests that will allow your children the opportunity to practice the format of the test questions. Children will have some opportunity at school to use the same practice tests.
We thank Mr. Mike’s Exxon, on Bypass 28, for their generous donation of $500.00 to the students of Hooksett Memorial School. These funds are to be used on materials/activities that will benefit all students. The materials/activities funded by this donation will be determined based upon staff input.

HMS fifth graders learned some online safety tips during a Media Center lesson earlier this month. Other recent lessons have included using keywords to search effectively for online information, comparing print encyclopedias with online versions, and how to avoid plagiarism. Our fifth graders are working hard to become good researchers!
Each third grader recently got a special gift from our friends at the Hooksett Grange – a brand new dictionary! Students had a great time discovering all the dictionary has to offer in addition to words, wonderful words. Some favorite entries were the sections on sign language and the longest word. Thank you Hooksett Grange!
