Mask Update from Superintendent – 12/3/2021

Dear Hooksett School District Families,

I would like to take this opportunity to update you on the mask requirement which was implemented on November 24.  Since my last communication, the 7-day PCR/AntiGen positivity rate has been 13.05% which is above the 10% threshold considered substantial transmission by the NH Department of Health and Human Services.  The number of current active cases over the previous 14 days has increased from 142 to 176 cases. The number of active cases has decreased from 95 to 78 cases and there have also been a total of 40 new positive cases within the three schools over the past week.

Since the 7-day PCR/AntiGen positivity rate average is 13.05% and the number of new active cases have been increasing, we will continue with the mask requirement the week of Monday, December 6 through Friday, December 10.  I will continue to monitor these data points and will provide another update at the end of next week.

Thank you for your support and understanding.

Sincerely,

William Rearick
Superintendent of Schools
