Hooksett Memorial School will be continuing “Fitness Fridays” during the 2017/2018 school year. This program has been successfully implemented at HMS since Spring 2013. Parent volunteers will again be coordinating this activity this school year. We thank them for their dedication to the children at our school.
Students who wish to participate are permitted to enter school starting at 8:00AM. Students should not arrive to school prior to 8:00 AM, at which time they will be dropped off at the back of the building, at the door where the busses normally drop off students. Please wait with your child until they are greeted by a staff member or volunteer at the back door at 8:00AM. If you arrive after 8:10 AM, please go through the main office doors at the front of the school. The program will run from 8:00AM to 8:40AM. At 8:40AM, students will clean up the gym area and then report to their classroom and begin their school day. During this program, students will engage in many sports and physical activities, all of which support student health and wellness. Sneakers are required.
This is a parent volunteer program. From time to time it may need to be canceled due to unavoidable circumstances. Students will be notified via announcements on Thursdays (or sooner) if Fitness Friday will not be happening. We plan to start this program on Friday, February 2, 2018.
