Hour of Code

Our world is surrounded by technology. We know that whatever field our students choose to go into as adults, their ability to succeed will increasingly hinge on understanding technology. During the week of December 5, our entire school is joining an initiative called “The Hour of Code” for the fourth year. All our students at HMS will learn the basics of coding through a variety of interactive games. Tens of millions of students worldwide participate in the Hour of Code every year. Last year, Governor Maggie Hassan visited our school to present an award from Google’s Hour of Code. See for additional details. We thank the classroom teachers for their support and flexibility to make this wonderful activity happen.  A special thanks to our Mrs. McLain, Mrs. Tremblay, and Mrs. Kelly for coordinating this outstanding event for our school.
