Students, parents and staff traveled to the Minute Man National Historical Park in both Concord and Lexington, Massachusetts. They participated in varied re-enactments during the day involving a Colonial Militiaman, a Daughter of Liberty, and a British Soldier. Students also toured the North Bridge and visited the North Bridge Visitor Center. Grade five curriculum has a focus on the causes and events of the Revolutionary War and the impacts and events after the war including the establishment of the United States Government. This trip takes students to the place where history actually occurred, providing them with a memorable life experience. It was an EXCELLENT day!
