Spelling Bee

Our school conducted the annual Spelling Bee on January 24, with class competitions and a whole school competition for grades 4 and 5. Congratulations to our school champion, Naima Elmera, a Fifth grader in Mrs. Godbout’s class. Kaden Wood, in Mrs. Rehm’s fourth grade class, was our runner-up and will be the alternate to the state bee. The 2018 New Hampshire State Spelling Bee will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2018, at 1:00 PM, at the Capitol Center for the Arts in Concord. The student to emerge as the top speller will represent the Granite State at the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C. in May. Good luck to Naima! The HMS Fifth Grade Classroom Representatives were Keegan Blake, Isabella Rivet, Makenzie Towne, Gavin Stone, Ella Bono, Naima Elmera, Jake Soucy, Andrew Cote, Chloe Daniels, Kyra Courtemanche, Elliot Doty, Emily Black, Amber Burgan, and Kyle Woodward,  The Fourth Grade Classroom Representatives were Lukas Kritos, Seth Fabilia, Kaden Wood, Isabel McIntyre, Yianni Kalampalikis, Madison Ball, Seth Record, Brayden Huffman, Laura Palazzo, Luke Parcel, Ady Lavallee, Connor Dempsey, Camila Baez and Olivia Gardner.
