Rosanne Beaudoin, HMS Media Specialist, has been working with Grace Larochelle from the Hooksett Public Library to offer an opportunity for fifth grade students to come down to the Media Center on Friday, January 5, to “tinker” with different STEM products and activities. Each classroom will have the opportunity to explore coding through Ozobots, Probots, and Sphero; learn about electricity and circuitry through Snapcircuits and clay circuit activities; focus on logic and sequencing by playing Gravity Maze and other games; and learn to think spatially and use creativity by using recyclables and MakeDo kits to create new objects. A new Lego Story Creator Station will also be ready to go in the Media Center. Third and fourth grades will have their own Tinker Day on upcoming Fridays. We’re hoping to spark some ideas and interest in our future inventors!
