David R. Cawley Middle School Grade Six Orientation

On Wednesday, June 7, all fifth grade students will have the opportunity to attend an orientation in the afternoon to meet their future grade six teachers. The teachers will give a tour of the school, fifth graders will have a snack in the cafeteria, and then meet with the principal, Mr. Benson.

On that evening, there is a Parent Orientation night at the CMS Media Center from 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM. Principal Mr. Benson will be speaking with fifth grade parents to provide an overview of the sixth grade, including academic and extra curricular programs offered at Cawley. There will be time for questions.

There will be a special dance in the CMS cafeteria and gym for fifth and sixth grade students only. It is put on by the sixth grade teachers who will be chaperoning. It will be from 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM so parents of fifth graders can drop of their children and then attend the orientation. The cost of the dance is $5.00. Refreshments will be sold at the dance, including Kona Ice!
