Thanks to a grant from the Hooksett PTA and the support of our local Home Depot, two fifth grade teachers created a vinyl planetarium here at HMS. All fifth grade teachers collaborated to develop a plan to include all students in this unique learning experience that extends their science lessons. All fifth grade students created their own constellations, based on lessons from their individual classes, with one class focussing on student heros and another choosing seasons and myths. The planetarium was open on Expo Nights for parents and children to visit. The lines were long to get into this HMS attraction. Great effort by all!
